완벽한 Fedora 15 Lovelock Desktop 설치를 위해

최근? 정식버전으로 나온 배포판중, 가장 발빠른 변화와 새로운 Gnome3를 탑재한 최신의 배포판인 Fedora 15를 좀더 가볍고 빠르고, 그러면서도 안정적인녀석으로 만들어보려합니다.
설치시  기본데스크탑용 기본 그대로 설치를 진행합니다.
그후 멀티미디어와 각종 어플들을 추가해서 Fedora15를 데스크탑용으로 손색이 없게 만들어보려합니다.

기본LiveCD나 desktop DVD의 패키지 저장소에는 부족한패키지가 많이있으므로
RPM Fusion 데이터저장소 추가로 필수 패키지의 다운로드를 쉽게 하고, skype와 google저장소를 활성화시키겠습니다.
바탕화면의 활용을위해 몇가지 패키지를 설치해보겠습니다.



터미널을 열고 su 를 입력하고 root권한을 얻은후 다음 두줄을 차례로 타이핑합니다. 
유용한 저장소의 패키지들을 가져오기위한 방법입니다. 

# rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
# rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm

어도비 reader, flash를 가져오기위한 어도비 저장소 추가

rpm -Uvh http://linuxdownload.adobe.com/adobe-release/adobe-release-i386-1.0-1.noarch.rpm

마지막으로 skype 저장소 및 Google 저장소를 추가합니다.

vi /etc/yum.repos.d/skype.repo

다음의 내용을  붙여넣고 저장합니다.

구글  repo파일을 만듭니다.

아래의 내용을  사용하는 fedora 의 32-bit 와 64-bit 구분하여 붙여넣기후 저장해놓습니다.

yum을 이용해서 응용프로그램을 설치하려면 root 권한으로 (su) 다음과같이 패키지이름만 넣어서 설치가 가능합니다.
일반적으로 기본적인 응용 프로그램(applycations)들이 설치되어있고, 더 필요한 프로그램들이 있다면 아래에 목록에서 이름을 확인후 설치가능합니다.

yum install 패키지이름

repo를 통해 외부에서 응용프로그램들의 패키지들을 자동검색후 다운로드 설치가 되는것입니다.

kmod-nvidia 는 대부분의 NVIDIA GPU를 지원하고 우리가 이미 추가한 RPM저장소를 통해 사용할수 있는 기본드라이버 입니다. 

yum install kmod-nvidia xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs

비디오 드라이버를 빼고,  위에서 언급한 모든 패키지를  한방에 설치할수 있습니다. ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ

Beware, this is going to take a while as over 550+MB of files would be downloaded. Take out whatever you don’t need, also I have not included mythtv and xbmc in the above complete install list, as not everybody would be needing it. You might also want to install Yumex, by doing

yum install yumex

this is a gui based package installer and search application similar to Synaptic (Ubuntu / Debian fame), but not as fast. You can download the remaining packages from the links given below.

To install google stuff you can do this

yum install google-chrome picasa

To install Google Earth you would have to download rpm for Google Earth from here. I don’t think they have included the package in the repo. Let me know if I am wrong.
